WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM YOUR CULVER CITY WOMAN’S CLUB MEMBERSHIP

Members of our club enjoy a variety of activities and events throughout the year.  We encourage new members to actively attend meetings, join committees, participate in activities and events, and  meet potential new friends.  We invite you to come to a meeting or activity to see if you would like to be a part of our group. Please let us know you will be attending by filling out the form at the bottom of our Home Page.

Our General Meetings are held on the second Monday of the month at 10:30 a.m. from September through May at the American Legion Post, 5309 Sepulveda Boulevard, in Culver City.  Each meeting features a guest speaker or entertainer.

Our annual club dues are currently $35. Next year’s annual dues will be $40 (collected in April).  There is a $5 charge for each meeting attended to cover club expenses. We offer a catered lunch at each meeting. (The cost is $15, plus the meeting fee of $5, for a total of $20).  You may also bring your own lunch. We encourage sustainability by asking members to bring their own coffee cups, utensils, and their own take-out containers if possible!

New members are officially inducted into the club at the meeting they attend after joining, where they are introduced and invited to say a few words about their background and interests.  We have a “Buddy” program that matches new members with experienced members to help answer questions.

Members are encouraged to purchase a magnetic name badge for $15 to wear at meetings and activities.  This makes it easier for everyone to learn each other’s names.  Everyone receives an updated club yearbook that lists board members, committees, bylaws, past presidents, and contact information for all current members, and all members receive a monthly newsletter during the meeting year (September to May)
